Cascable Studio 7.3 is out now and introduces support for several additional Sony cameras, including FX models for the first time!
The following Sony models are newly supported:
- FX2, FX3(A), FX30, α1 II, α9 III, α7 V, ILX-LR1, and ZV-E10 II
The update also adds support for accessing the storage slots of certain Sony camera models. Thanks to recent firmware updates released by Sony, this is now a feature we can provide.
This enables browsing of the camera’s storage cards, allowing you to work with images and videos at your leisure. Previously these models only allowed capturing images during active tethered shooting, so this is a great addition that brings these Sony cameras in line with most of the brands that Cascable Studio supports!
The following Sony models support storage access (at time of writing):
Alpha Models
- α1, α1 II, α9 III, α7R V, α7 IV, α7 V, α7S III, α7C II, αC R, and α6700
FX Models
- FX3(A), FX30, and FX2
Other Models
- ILX-LR1 and ZV-E1
If your camera requires a firmware update, Cascable Studio will let you know.

Flash Setting Support
In addition to the new features for Sony cameras, Cascable Studio 7.3 also comes with updated support for using both internal (where applicable) and external flashes. Support for the flash exposure compensation and flash mode settings is now available for compatible Canon, Nikon, and Sony cameras right where you need it in Cascable Studio.
