Cascable Pro Webcam
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all of our Cascable Pro Webcam orders. Paddle handles customer service enquiries regarding billing, and handles returns.
As part of the purchase process, we will receive your email address and a small amount of anonymous information regarding your purchase, such as the payment method and an anonymised identifier. We do not receive any personal billing information such as your physical address, phone number, or credit card details. We will only send you marketing information if you opt-in to receive such information during checkout.
Refunds
All of our apps come with built-in free trials, and we encourage you to download them and try them out to make sure they fit your needs and work with your equipment before purchasing.
However, we want our customers to be happy with their purchases. Our refund policy depends on which app you bought:
Cascable for iOS and Cascable Transfer are sold on the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple’s refund policies, which vary by region. To discuss a refund, visit Apple’s Billing Support page and click "Request a Refund".
Cascable Pro Webcam has a 30 day refund policy. If you are unhappy with your purchase, deactivate Cascable Pro Webcam on the computer(s) you are using it on, then contact us using the button at the bottom right of this page within 30 days of your purchase to apply for a refund.
Accessing Your Information
To request deletion of your personal data, contact customer support at hi@cascable.se using the button at the bottom right of this page and we’ll help you out. We’ll need any email addresses you used to sign up to mailing lists or purchase our products. Please be aware that if you’ve purchased a product from us, deleting your information will mean we won’t be able to assist with license and registration problems in the future.

These changes were made to reflect the fact that we now sell our app Cascable Transfer on the App Store, rather than on our website through a payment provider.

Our apps are sold using the Apple App Store, purchases from which are subject to Apple’s privacy policy. We do not receive any information from Apple about your purchase, other than in anonymised statistics. If you choose to send feedback to us from within our apps, information about your purchases may be attached to that feedback. This will contain some anonymous information about your purchases (the date they were made, what you purchased, etc), but will never contain anything related to payments or payment data.
Our Online Store
When purchasing Cascable Transfer, your purchase will be processed by our payment processor FastSpring. Your purchase will be subject to FastSpring’s privacy policy. More information on FastSpring and their privacy policy can be found here on the FastSpring website.
Through our partnership with FastSpring, we will receive your name, address and email address. We do not receive any payment information. The information we receive will be used to generate and send your purchased license codes. You will not receive further correspondence from us unless:
- You explicitly opt-in to receive our newsletter before, during, or after your purchase.
- An exceptional circumstance arises related to your purchase and we feel it prudent to contact you.
The information received from FastSpring will be dealt with in accordance to the rest of this privacy policy.
Security
All data submissions (such as forms on our website) are transmitted using industry-standard SSL encryption. This can be verified by looking for the padlock icon in your browser. The SSL certificate should be issued with a common name (CN) of cascable.se. If you are making a purchase on our online store, the certificate will be issued to FastSpring (Bright Market, LLC).
Changes Made On August 31, 2018
These changes were made to add more information about the kind of data we collect when using our apps, how that data is used and handled, and how you can get in touch to have personal data removed. A typo was also fixed.
Our Apps
We collect anonymous usage data about our apps to help us know where they’re being used the most and to help us improve them in the right areas. Any information that may be unique to your devices is hashed before it leaves your device so we can’t see it.
Specifically, we collect:
- Anonymous usage data about which cameras are used with Cascable.
- Anonymous usage data about which features are used in Cascable.
- Anonymous usage data about which iOS devices Cascable is used on.
- Anonymous crash reports should Cascable crash when in use.
This anonymous usage data is stored by a third party in accordance with this privacy policy, and is retained indefinitely. We use the data to help make decisions when working on updates to our apps - for example:
- We use crash reports to help fix crashes.
- We use usage data to inform and verify our decisions. For example, if we can see that a tutorial video is abandoned before it’s finished downloading most of the time, we will use that information to make our tutorial videos smaller and faster to download.
Detailed usage data is only used for internal informational purposes in the manner described above. In some cases, we may share very basic anonymous statistics with outside parties or publicly, such as how many people use a particular camera model with Cascable.
